Welcome to Bodywork Elevated

Ancient Tradition, Contemporary Application

Massage Therapy, or bodywork is a healing technique that has been used for thousands of years. From the skilled hands of highly trained professionals to the caress of a loved one, touch has been a healing therapy that has followed our human story since the beginning. Bodywork is much more than a service enjoyed only by those who are pampering themselves; it empowers you to live a life free of chronic aches and pains, as well as finding a deep sense of inner peace and calm.

How Massage Can Help You

Life happens at what seems like an ever increasing speed. We are dynamic beings who live dynamic lives. A multi-disciplinary self care routine will keep you feeling your best, day in and day out. Massage is an integral part of this plan; as a regular part of your routine, it will keep your body feeling it’s best and ready for anything.

Sometimes though, things happen and injuries, pain, and stress come up. Here are some things that massage is especially well suited to help with:

Neck and Shoulder Tension

Chronic Headaches

Hip and Knee Pain

Stress and Anxiety

Low Back Pain

Scar Tissue

TMJ

Sports Injuries

Nerve Pain

Insomnia

Lowering Blood Pressure

My Philosophy

I am an advocate of the multi-faceted approach. Massage with me will likely include multiple modalities, as well as recommendations for self-care.

I don’t believe in making clients pick from long lists of services, and only doing the modality they select. Being well-educated on the benefits of different styles of massage is my job, not yours, and I want to use my expertise to make sure you are getting the care you deserve.

With that in mind, I am a big believer in communication. Not only do I want to know what kinds of pressure and techniques you prefer, I also want to know what your goals are every time we connect.  Sometimes it may be a shoulder giving you grief, other days it may be feeling overwhelmed by stress. I can help with both of those, and everything in between, but a “one size fits all” massage is not my way of doing things.

What Clients Are Saying

I have had the pleasure of working with Katie for a few years now. Her calm demeanor helps me feel relaxed from the moment I step into her massage space. She has an incredible gift of combining her massage therapy skills with stretching recommendations and yoga techniques. She is a wonderful listener and helps to calm the mind as well. I’m so spoiled by Katie and would recommend her to anyone!

Katie has been providing massages to me for several years. She is fantastic, and has a great feel for how much pressure to exert pending my muscle tightness. Additionally, I love how she follows the fibers of my muscles for the especially tense areas like my neck. She does a great myo-facial release and has really helped me to maintain a vigorous exercise routine without injury.!

Hi there, my name is Katie. For over 10 years I have made working with and healing the human body my passion and career. I work with clients in a way that makes them feel seen and heard, and never make people pay for add-on’s, extras, or upgrades.

When you work with me, you know you are getting the very best of care, for the very best results.

“Today I felt like I was at a retreat! After my massage + sound bowl experience was over, I had a tear roll down my face. The first time I experienced sound healing was in Mexico; it was magical and so was today.

I have committed to myself that I will now do this once a month because of how I feel physically & mentally after. Thank you again Katie! ”
